This New Bitaxe Doubles Your Bitcoin Odds… But Does It Matter?
In this video I compare the NerdQaxe++ air-cooled Bitcoin solo miner vs the NerdQaxe++ Hydro water-cooled miner to see which performs better at stock settings and when overclocking in AxeOS. I run both miners at stock settings and then use an auto overclocking tool with equal limits to see which version overclocks higher. Finally, I remove the limits on the Hydro and push it to the maximum AxeOS allows to see its true performance ceiling — while tracking hashrate, AxeOS watts, wall watts, voltage drop, current draw, and ASIC temps. How Far Can Hydro Cooling Push a Bitcoin Miner?
In this video, I’ll show you how to solo mine Bitcoin Cash using home miners like the BitAxe and NerdAxe—and why it may be a more realistic solo mining experiment than Bitcoin. If solo mining Bitcoin is like buying a lottery ticket, Bitcoin Cash gives small miners a much better statistical chance of actually hitting a block over time. Because both Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash use the SHA-256 algorithm, the same home solo miners can be used on either network. That means your existing BitAxe, NerdAxe, or other small ASIC can easily switch to mining Bitcoin Cash. In this video, I'll compare solo mining odds for Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash, explain the 2017 fork and what Bitcoin Cash is and show how to set up your miner for BCH solo mining step-by-step.
